CROP Walk

Castine’s four religious organizations began hosting CROP Walks in 2009 with the hopes of bringing together the community to help those less fortunate. Raising thousands of dollars each year, a quarter of the funds go to help Habitat for Humanity of Hancock County or other not-for-profit organizations working to do good in our communities. The rest goes to the Church World Service organizations, which helps people in poor, rural areas build necessary infrastructure to grow food and gain economic independence.
